This notice explains how NorthCoast Handyman (“we”, “us”), based in Bude, Cornwall, uses the personal information you give us when you get in touch or use this website.

What we collect

When you contact us by the website form, WhatsApp, phone or email, we receive the details you choose to give us. That usually means your name, email address and/or phone number, postcode, a description of the job, and any photos you send.

How the enquiry form works

When you send the enquiry form, your details and any photos are emailed to us at hello@northcoasthandyman.co.uk using an email delivery service called Resend. Photos are resized in your browser before they're sent. The website itself doesn't keep a copy of your enquiry.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote
• To arrange and carry out the work
• To keep records of the work we've done, as needed for our business and legal obligations

We use your information because you've asked us for a quote or to carry out work, and to meet legal requirements such as keeping tax records.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information or use it for marketing lists. We only share it with services that help us run the business: our website host (Vercel), our form email delivery service (Resend) and our email provider, or where we're required to by law. Some of these services may process information outside the UK.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows, and job records for as long as we're required to for tax and accounting purposes.

This website

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies, and doesn't currently use analytics. Our website host may process technical information, such as your IP address, to deliver the site securely and prevent misuse. If you click a WhatsApp, phone or Google link, you'll leave this website and that service's own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to how we use it. Just email hello@northcoasthandyman.co.uk or call 07356 242589.
