Repair or replaster?
Not every tired wall needs replastering. Small cracks and isolated damage can often be repaired and blended in. Where plaster is blown, crumbling or badly uneven, taking it back and starting again usually gives a better, longer-lasting result. We'll look at your photos, and the walls themselves if needed, and give you an honest view on which makes sense.
Older properties and lime
Many older Cornish and Devon properties have solid walls that need to breathe. Covering them with the wrong materials can trap moisture. Where it's appropriate, we can use suitable lime-based systems — and where modern gypsum plaster is fine, we'll say so.
Preparation and protection
Plastering is messy work, so we protect floors and furniture before we start and clean up properly afterwards. Fresh plaster needs time to dry before painting — we'll let you know how long and what to use for the first coat.

We're based in Bude, covering North Cornwall & North Devon. Our normal travel area is around 40 minutes from Bude, and up to about an hour for larger projects. See the areas we cover.
